Apparently Eve was a board member of H.C.A.L.G. - Hawaii Coalition Against Legalized Gambling so it looks as though no one in Hawaii will be winning the lotto in hopes of purchasing Pahonu.

I believe Eve went to Mills College in Oakland, California graduating in 1961. It was founded in 1852 and claims to be the first women's college west of the Rockies.

This a guess at the moment, but Whitney T. Anderson MIGHT be Eve's husband (possibly ex.....not sure). The following info is a good starting point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitney_Anderson

Whitney's brother Andy was into politics as well and quite the businessman....one of his acquisitions ...... the famous Michel's Restaurant at the Colony Surf. I wonder if Michelle was named after this restaurant.

It doesn't look as though Whitney is Eve's husband based on his grandson's comment about Grandpa Whitney and Grandma Hannie (not Grandma Eve). Back to the drawing board!

It goes onto say that she loved animals and was a very low profile individual (just like Eve). http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/memorial ... ony/nJZmN/
The tennis court was added in 1969 or 1970 based on the H5O photos. It could have been at her request.

Hey Pahonu,

The timeline does fit.

I know Barbara's husband Garner Anthony was also big into tennis as well.......so I think the court at Pahonu did get some use.

2005 Golden Retriever Club picnic.....Tom Selleck couldn't make it. Scroll down a bit to find the article.
I wonder if the two Anderson's on the Board are related....especially Robin.

A 1905 article that mentions her grandparents marriage! Ormand married Emlle (could be Emilie) Peck, daughter of Philip Peck
It appears there were a few doctors in the family as the best man was Dr. Alford (most likely Alfred) Wall.

Ormand also played the violin.....a very talented man!

This is an incredible article that mentions Eve's grandfather, who not only a dentist, but an inventor, who basically created one of the first windshield wipers!
Lets make that a brilliant man!!! I wonder if he had a patent?!
