Magnum Mania!

Well, it's official!!!

Shooting in my office just finished today for my promo for Cozi TV as the Ultimate Fan of Magnum, PI!!!

I didn't puke on my shoes, so I have that going for me.

Tomorrow they come over to the Tiki Bar (in 40 degree weather) and I answer a few questions and show off my Magnum themed collection. While I may not have the most extensive collection, I'm focusing on my love for the theme of the show . . . the loyalty and friendship between these men and Thomas Magnum's moral center while he searches for himself after Vietnam. OK, I'm not going that deep, but I have always been attracted to the Knight Errant aspect of TM . . . .

Anyhoo, thanks to JJ for the support and I'll keep everyone up to speed with things.

Congratulations!!!! You and the Tiki Bar were absolutely the right choice and I can't wait to see the results while watching our favorite Thursday night Cozi-tv show.......Dare I ask if you wore one of "the shirts"............

Just got done watching "Tropical Madness" on Cozi TV, over-the-air! Just like old times. Hehe! During one of the commercial breaks they ran a Bionic Woman promo that showed a scene where Jaime throws a teddy bear at a would-be sniper high up on an amusement park cable car. The teddy bear flew what seemed to be a hundred yards and hit the guy in the legs causing him to topple out of the car! A policeman calls out that he is "ok, he landed in the pond." LOL! A teddy bear knocks the guy over? Ya gotta love classic TV.

Anyway, Conch, I'm so excited for you man! I can't wait to see the promo(s)! CR, chillin' at the Tiki Bar, talkin' 'bout Magnum while the cameras roll. How cool is that!

Hi guys!

Filming wrapped up earlier this afternoon. We went through all my MPI related paraphernalia (I think that's the first time I ever wrote that word) and discussed each piece and what it means. Then we spent some time at the Tiki Bar talking about it's origins. Made a few drinks, showed off my smoking skills with some ribs and a pork butt I just happened to have in the smoker and then it was off to the interview.

There were about 25 questions (that I thankfully had a head of time) and then they mic'd up Mrs. Conch and asked her about my "passion". Thankfully I had gotten her the team insignia pendant for Valentine's Day (hey, if it was good enough for Michelle ...) so she had a cool connection as well. She did great!

Overall it was a really cool experience. I was a bit nervous to start but that faded, the crew was really good and made us feel at ease. They also said that while this was intended as a 30 second promo they are thinking it could be expanded to a 5 minute mini interview or as part of a broader show.

There's also a chance for a return to Flemingo Key in the nice weather ... For a future thing. Hey, I wouldn't mind hosting a "Live from Flemingo Key" for a CoziTV summer promotion!

Now if I only was able to get CoziTV on DirecTV .....

I hope I represented us well. I did name drop a few of you and the site, lets hope they make it through editing. They shot a LOT of stuff!

HA!!! How awesome . . . or awful . . . would a Magnum convention be? I mean, it would be great for us, but take a second to picture that visual of Flemingo Key full of people dressed like TM!!!!

Then again . . .
