One episode I haven't seen mentioned, and one of my all time favorites, is "Black on White"! I do consider this a "Higgins Episode". The story centers around him, and his history. A few years ago, I bought a Tomytronic Pac Man game! When I hear that little beeping tune, I just smile!

I agree and I include it as a Higgins-centric episode even if it isn't all Higgins all the time. In fact it may be my fave Higgy-sode!

Love this thread. It's an easy pic for me. I just love "Holmes Is Where the Heart Is." I'm a Sherlock Holmes fan to begin with, so the spin for this episode really gets me. But I think this story is just another clever one. The conflict Higgins faces between duty and friendship seen in this episode seems to me the conflict he's fighting within himself with Magnum. So though the show is a "flashback," I think it's still one filled with relevance to what's going on in the series' timeline. Just so smart. I like all the Higgins' episode. "Black on White" is probably my second favorite, but "Holmes Is Where the Heart Is" is an easy first for me.

* * * AND if I may, I would like to add "Computer Date" to the list of "Higgins-Centric" episodes. Love how Magnum sends Higgins through the fitness regime.

Higgins was possibly Robin Masters. About 20 years ago I consulted two Magnum PI experts.
The show had a twist two sides to it as intended. The theory of Higgins being Robin makes
sense because of higgins family name history English title and writing the memoirs.

Paper war of course points this out as well as many episodes. I may write a full report on
the important possibilty of this!!

Magnum PI is the greatest show ever bar none.

I almost pray they do the new Magnum PI with double episodes,
famous guest stars, serious real life drama , locations of episodes from all over the world, entertainment and action !!

We need a new Mac, plus as many famous guest on the show as well

In the 80's so many big guest came on which is one of the many reason
the show had so much success. I am considering writting a letter.
I want to see the candle light go on for the new Magnum.

True fans deep down inside love it !!!

I was critical at first but just gratful that it cam back !!

Long live Magnum

First post, eh?

There’s a forum for the reboot. Perhaps your post regarding “true fans” was meant to go there.

Some folks who may or may not be paid CBS trolls have suddenly shown up on the Magnum Facebook group lately and do nothing but tout the reboot. Just sayin’.
