I voted "Letter to a Duchess", but if "Black on White" had been on the list I might have gone with that. Both are excellent episodes from the best seasons (3 & 4) of the show.

Dang, I really should have included "Black on White" as a Higgins-Centric episode in the episode guide. My bad. I think I'll do that right now...

The guide was what I used to compile the list. Black on White slipped my mind as well.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaugh! I am stuck! My family's favorite, far and away, is Holmes is Where the Heart Is---but I love Foiled Again. Oh, no! *insert prolonged waffling here*

This is a WONDERFUL poll, by the way, THANK YOU. As a CBHF*, I totally appreciate the effort you put into this.

My daughter has registered her displeasure that I chose Foiled Again, and wishes me to make known to the assembled that SHE would have chosen Holmes is Where the Heart Is, hands down.

I voted Holmes is were the heart is. I just really like the episode, because you see Higgins in action MI6 style. And I like the ending of the episode.

I'm surprised Elmo hasn't gotten any love! Autumn Warrior I can understand, but I expected Elmo Ziller to be popular. Letter to a Dutchess seems to have it at this point though.

Though not mentioned here, I opt for Deja Vu... it's not all, but a lot about Higgins' defining himself - in relation to his job, to his family, and let's not forget it is on Higgins' turf we are here.
Also, the support he receives from the gang is outstanding - right down to his kidnapping. So Deja Vu it is!

Even though I voted for another, one you didn't have on here was, 'Computer Date'. I love the Higgins part of this episode! Where he diets and exercises, to get in shape for the,"Lady Ashley'. At the end, when she shows up with her young escort, and Higgins lights up his cigarette, with such a content and relieved look on his face! Extraordinary!

I love that too, but I see it as more of a Higgins plot-line than a Higgins-centric episode. The dominant story is the investigation.

Bumping this thread too. I know I'll be taking in a few today and this weekend. Which ones will you be going to?

I voted for Faith and Begorrah. Aside from JH's fine performances, the Father Paddy character manages to represent the other side of the England-Ireland issue. Plus we get all of Father Paddy's eccentricities which emphasize the differences between the two Higgins (half) brothers. Higgins' "difficulty" in dealing with his half brother's quirks is priceless.

Love the hotel and rooftop bar where Paddy was staying.

Plus there's that out-of-nowhere shock ending (special effects limitations forgiven) with Rick's stunned look adding to the greatness of the entire episode. I also appreciate that Ffolkes was brought back because No Need to Know is among my all-time favorite episodes.
