Thanks John and Debbie for the pictures and dredging info..
I am still puzzled on how the dredging got the ok! I'm wondering if there is a loophole out there for the turtle enclosure/tidal pool. I know it has some historical status, so I'm thinking they may have used that, by stating they are restoring the turtle enclosure to its original depth or.....??
Very interesting in many ways if it is true.

Looks like the tidal pool needs some work done to restore it.

Yes, the tidal pool is no where as nice as it was. According to info from other threads in the forum sometime this past spring the tidal pool was dredged, reportedly to prevent others from using the beach (part Magnum traffic).

I think the water will bring the sand back.

I find it hard to believe that Magnum traffic would be enough of an annoyance to make such a drastic move. There really aren't that many of us who actually make the pilgrimage. How many do you think? Say one per week? And nobody, from this forum at least, has hopped the fence or done anything untoward.

So, do you mean, that the black stone walls, which are inside of the water, have been torn down?

Does anyone have recent pics from the beach on low tide?

The stone wall in the tidal pool is a protected state monument. I don't think it's going anywhere. They were referring to the sand being dredged or removed near the sea wall. There are recent pics on the thread called "The Estate Tidal Pool and Beach" pages 4 and 5.
