You must have had a fantastic time in any case. :)

Great pics Lt.

The ultralight flight looks like fun and I may try it next trip.

I saw this story yesterday in the StarAdvertiser an ultralight went down two days ago in Kauai.

Keep the pics coming.

So Steveadl.I guess we won't mistake you for Mad Buck. :)
That's part of the enjoyment of the flight.

Quick Hawaii helicopter story. We took the one hour island tour with a company located across the runway from HNL.

About 30 minutes into the flight the pilot yells yow and puts us in a fairly sharp left turn.I was seated in the left rear and my ex-wife was in the left front, neither one of us saw anything.A couple seconds later he leveled us off and got back on course.I could see the pilot was visibly shaken and when I asked him he said we almost hit a goose.Later in the flight I asked what would have happened had we hit the goose., and his reply was."It would be one dead Nene"

I know it's probably never a good thing to hit something the size of a goose and at times I've wondered who would have been dead based on the pilots reaction.

I hope I didn't dampen your enthusiasm on a helicopter flight..If I did...I'm sorry....you can still get a great aerial view of Honolulu from Roundtop Drive. :) :)

Spot on Sam. In fact Mr. Gibson is probably one of my favourite characters. I share a similar outlook on life. I was thinking of him when in the air. Wanted to go to the spot where he took off from but ran out of time. Something else to do next trip.
