Little Feat, Hempstead, 1974 (20:06)
Rock n' Roll Doctor > Two Trains > The Fan > On Your Way Down
Little Feat at their peak before Lowell George's tragic self-destruction. Incredible versions of all four of these classic songs. Recorded live in front of a small group of fans at Ultrasonic Studios in Long Island, NY. Supreme-o sound quality.
The Cars, San Francisco/Toronto, 1978 (22:27)
Night Spots > You're All I Got Tonight > Don't Cha Stop > Since I Held You > They Won't See You > Candy-O
Early Cars on tour in support of their amazing debut album. The 'Candy-O' cut from Toronto is notable because it was one the first times the song had ever been played live. Great stuff! Has anyone else even attempted to merge Punk, New Wave & Pop?
Rush, St. Louis, 1980 (17:10)
2112 > The Spirit of Radio
Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson & Neil Peart - icons of Rock for over 30 years! The best version of '2112' I've ever heard can be found here. Superb soundboard recording. Now, tell me again why these guys are not in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame?!
Prince, The Hague, 1988 (36:36)
Instrumental Jam > Just My Imagination > Forever In My Life > Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic (Reprises 1 & 2)
The legendary Prince with his best band - Miko Weaver (Guitar), Levi Seacer Jr. (Bass), Boni Boyer (Keyboards, Vocals), Doctor Fink (Keyboards), & Sheila E. (Drums) - at a small club in The Hague. This was an unannounced after-show jam session which ended ~ 3AM. For Prince fans, it just doesn't get any better than this! Be sure to check out Prince's awesome guitar solo on Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me).
Umphrey's McGee, D.C., 2004 (27:52)
Hurt Bird Bath > Miss Tickle's Overture
My favorite Jam Band. These guys are true muscians of the highest order. Jake Cinninger and Brendan Bayliss are the best guitarists you've never heard of. Two great (and long) cuts from their great 2004 show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Umphrey's McGee, you gotta check these cats out.
